As a second-generation lighting agent, I’m proud to maintain our agency’s focus on its clients. I continually invest time in learning about our new products and my technical product and application knowledge for lighting and controls. Clients trust me to be honest and upfront, always getting back to them on time, and getting things done right the first time and on time.
I have over 20 years of Electrical and Lighting experience, and when it comes to my work I care more about quality than quantity. The projects where I’ve been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to contribute my time and knowledge of lighting and controls are the projects that I look at as my legacy. Outside of work I love spending time with my two boys and serving as a volunteer coach on the diamond and on the ice.
I started at Focus during a work term, and grew into a customer service role initially and years later an outside sales position. My role is all about providing the right solutions that balance both budgetary and design needs in order to offer the best possible solution to the customer, and staying on top of product and technological developments to be able to offer informed recommendations.
I’m the middle and last point of contact for Focus’ customers, using my attention to detail and organizational skills to make sure they are happy. I’m very dedicated to my work and to ensuring that client projects are successful. Outside the office I love visiting Canada and the US in our travel trailer.
I have spent the last two decades working in the fields of Marketing, Customer Service and Operations. I have gained much experience coordinating events and promotions, managing teams, maintaining business processes, as well as extensive troubleshooting. The quality of my work is important to me and these skills help to ensure that at the end of the day, the business and it’s clients are happy. Outside of work, I’m happy to just hang out at home, spending time with my family, enjoying the simple things in life!
I have been in the electrical industry for 10 years and have received my Red Seal Journeyman Certificate. I have worked on numerous commercial electrical job sites but found that what I like best is planning, organizing and managing projects – assuring they are completed successfully and on time. I have been able to showcase these skills in my roles as Procurement Manager, Senior Commercial Estimator and Project Coordinator/Manager. Now as Project Manager with Focus, I am able to continue gaining experience in the management of electrical projects.
I provide exceptional solutions for my clients in my new role at Focus. With years of experience in the industry, my expertise helps our clients make informed decisions about our products. Outside of the office I enjoy time with my family, sports and great food.
I started out in Electrical Distribution Sales, and my work experience helps me deliver answers and suggestions to suit any application. I take in any training in the form of factory visits or webinars by our manufacturers to be better able to communicate and explain our products, as well as the functionally of our systems, to a professional engineer as well as the end user.
I am highly motivated to succeed in anything I do. This has provided many great experiences and opportunities for me over the 15 years in the electrical/instrumentation industry. I am now focusing more on lighting controls to provide seamless solutions for any situation and customer needs. I enjoy playing sports and being with family and friends, working around my house/property, helping my father or a friend and being at the camp getting a few things done before relaxing in the piece and quiet location.
I’m the go-to person when it comes to customer service. I grew up in a family business that was in the automation industry and I really liked the business side of being an electrical professional. I also graduated from New Brunswick Community College’s Technology Sales and Marketing program and Ashworth College’s Electrician program. I am always learning from trade publications and working with the Focus team to excel in my position.
I studied to become a CET, and now do primarily quoting and lighting layouts at Focus. I always strive to deliver quotes in a timely manner and with friendly and reliable service, and take every opportunity to learn more about the lighting business.
After working out West for the past 5 years as a red seal electrician I decided it was time to return home to Nova Scotia to live and work. I have experience in all areas of the electrical trade, residential, commercial and industrial and have been working in the trade for the past 12 years. My previous work experience allows me to effectively work with customers and contractors as a control specialist with Focus Electrical Sales Inc. and to continue to keep up with the latest trends in LED lighting and controls.
I have over 15 years experience in sales in the CPG industry working with Large companies such as Mondelez, Acosta and Coca Cola. I have a can-do attitude and a track record of being reliable and someone you can count on! I have spent the past 2 years in Electrical sales in Nova Scotia and have made some great relationships in that time. I am always learning and trying to better my knowledge for myself and my customers. Outside of work I am a Husband and Father to 3 Boys (2 Identical Twins). I am heavily involved in the local sports community as a Coach and I spend a lot of time with Family.
I entered the electrical and lighting industry directly out of college, bringing a marketing and customer service background. Three years later in the industry, I’m passionate about providing excellent customer service as well as learning about new products and technology to be able to provide our clients with the best solution to fit their needs. Outside of work you can find me thrifting, painting, or spending time outdoors.
For the last 30+ years, I have been providing technical, performance-based automation and control solutions at both the manufacturing and distribution level. My on-site experiences at the various types of Industrial and Commercial facilities makes each day a new adventure. I see automated processes and equipment that continues to amaze me and is my inspiration to provide solutions that are unmatched in the industry. Outside of business I look forward to our daily dog walks with Belle, Diego with my wife Jennifer, volunteering at our local dog rescue or enjoying the great outdoor life that Nova Scotia has to offer.
I grew up around the construction industry and am a certified Journeyman Electrician. I also have a passion for sales that took me on a journey from a territory sales manager for Atlantic Canada to working with large corporations such as Adidas, Reebok CCM, and Terra Kodiak. I always make sure that all my associates get the answer or info they need to make informed business decisions. My idea of relaxation is to find an activity that involves the outdoors, or creating something out of wood, dirt or steel!
I have spent 10+ years in electrical distribution industry. I have been privileged that my experience has allowed me to work with amazing people across North America. I have a passion for learning day to day in our everchanging industry as technology creates an exciting future. I love to travel to new destinations. In the winter, you can find me in the hockey rink and in the summer, you can find me on a golf course.
I’m a “solutions” guy – If I say I’m going to do something, I will. I always had an interest in Technology and Sales and this role is the best of both worlds. I’m always looking for new products and technology in this industry and learning about it as much as possible. This way, I can pass it on to my customers and answer their questions accurately and quickly.
